Spiderweb Pumpkin Pancakes with Spider Sausages

HALLOWEEN RECIPIE
Halloween Glitters Spider Halloween quote

I'm a sucker for Halloween stuff. And after technical difficulties and being busy at work and home putting me behind on blogging through my 40 weeks of menus, I just caught up on weeks 1-4 completely - YAY!

But, I usually make a lot of Halloween themed meals and treats in October and it just dawned on me that it's the 20th and I haven't done much of that yet. Yikes! So I decided to make SPIDERWEB PUMPKIN PANCAKES WITH SAUSAGE SPIDERS for breakfast.

These are way fun - but take patience and time to make.
(We just might have been late for church because of them.)

1. Add 2 eggs and 1/4 cup of sugar in a large bowl.

2. Add 3/4 cup of milk and 1/4 c. oil. Mix well.

3. Add vanilla. Mix well.

4. Add a can of pumpkin, 2 c. flour and 2 tsp. of baking powder.

5. Add cinnamon and a cup of maple syrup, stir gently to combine.

6. Heat a griddle and spray the inside of a plastic Ziploc bag with cooking spray.

7. Add some of the batter to the greased Ziploc bag and seal it up. Clip one of its corners with scissors  but only the smallest tip.
 8. Use the snipped off tip to "draw" spider webs on the hot griddle.

9. Cook until it is set and the edges are dry. Then carefully flip over to cook on the other side.

10. Cook until golden and done all the way through.
    11. Meanwhile, heat frying pan to medium low. Shape sausage patties into wide flat circles. Then pinch on the 2 ends to make sort of a rounded bowtie. Use a knife to cut four legs into each side. Put in frying pan.
 12. Cook until it has shrunken and looks lightly browned on one side. Flip over and cook until no longer pink inside.

13. Serve on top of Spiderweb pumpkin pancakes. ENJOY!
